For me, food has always played a central role in my life. Growing up in the San Francisco Bay area, I began growing food and cooking at a very young age. Food is my true north—and my cooking has always been punctuated by an equal measure of passion and accessibility. I’ve enjoyed several successful careers and pastimes, including serving as the food and entertaining editor for Kansas City Magazine and Home Design Magazine. My passion for cooking, food, and entertaining inspired me to pursue a long-dreamed-of venture and publish my award-winning cookbook, Just Cook with Sally.
Now, life is filled with the pleasures of food, entertaining, travel, community, family, and friends. I balance my time between a home in the States, my farmhouse in Cortona, Italy, and traveling the world—loving life and those around me. You’ll find me creating recipes and sharing stories that highlight the magical connection between food, travel, and life, living with purpose and joy, always exploring new adventures and savoring all life offers!
